The Art of Books

Confused on what to do with those overly expensive textbooks the schools won’t buy back? Don’t use them as firewood; instead take a look at what a handful of artists are doing to create unique art from books. In everything from mild to wild, these artists manipulate and photograph books in a plethora of captivating poses. It’s proof once again anything can be made into something creative with a little ingenuity and thought. So grab your Photoshop 6 bible and get busy. If you actually create and photograph your handy work, we’ll post it here on the site and send the top entry a prize. In the meantime, check out some cool art and enjoy your weekend.
Are there any other websites or ideas for using old donated books to turn into an art form? I am a middle school art teacher with a limited budget with a library who wants to donate books. Any other ideas what to do. As I write this I am “shaking” my brain for original ideas.
Thanks
