Panic’s ‘Coda’

The Mac platform has a rabid fan base, and one big reason are cool, quirky applications from great developers like Panic. They’re famous for the coolest FTP program on OS X - Transmit. Their latest offering aims to take web development one step further and offers a one stop shop of sorts for coders. Coda bridges the gaps between coding, testing, uploading, and debugging and does it all from one application. It boasts a clean, slick interface and will be a welcome addition to any coder’s arsenal. Take a look at the web site for a comprehensive look at the rich features. The price is a little steep, but there’s a discount if you’ve already purchased Transmit.

“The price is a little steep…” Compared to what?
If it continues to perform as it is, saving me time etc, it’s a bargain.

JWo, makes a good point now that we think about it. I guess we’re taking in to account many of us already have existing applications that do what Coda does. For example, we have TextWrangler, Transmit, Dreamweaver, and CSS Edit which makes it hard to justify a NEW application that merely performs what we’re already capable of doing.
